Through networking via X (fka twitter), Giovanni was able to connect with Knicks Film School, a podcast centered around all things New York Knicks. He began as a part-time graphic designer, making daily edits for KFS social platforms & their 20,000+ followers.
The goal was to create compelling visuals that grab attention but also read well. The use of saturated colors with a soft textured finished were all meant to help the graphics pop and retain attention. Additionally, Garufi was tasked with incorporating the school theme of KFS when possible, often in the form of a schoolyard-brick background​​​​​​​

Monochrome logos keep the graphic simple and help to not overshadow other elements of the scoreboard
