Giovanni was asked by friend & colleague Rashaad Nurse to design a cover for his upcoming poetry book, entitled "The Boy Who Flew too Close to the Sun. Given full creative freedom, Giovanni pulled from various references and focuses both on compelling composition, as well as various metaphors connected to the primary subject matter centered around coming-of-age and dealing with love gained and lost throughout various types of relationships.
